For several months in 2017 and 2018, I displayed a collection of the Council of Kindness animals in our local Citywide Banks lobby. When it was time to move them out, the Banking Center Manager VP and former President of the Board of Directors of the Carousel of Happiness asked if she could keep the rhinoceros next to her office for a while longer. I told her she could if she contributed something about the importance of rhinos and in particular, this one. Scott

The Rhino

Susan Schneider

The rhino came into my life recently and I felt a strong desire to keep it close.  It resonated with me for reasons I didn’t understand.  So I went searching for “why”.  I read that when a rhino crosses your path, you need to look more closely at everything around you. This animal is here to remind you to appreciate the expansive bounty that surrounds you.  Stop and give thanks to the infinite miracles occurring in every moment of your life.  If you see a rhino in your dreams, that suggests that you need to forge ahead towards your goals.  Don’t take “no” for an answer.  If a rhino is your totem animal, you enjoy the comfort of your own company and are comfortable with yourself.  You have a close relationship with the ancient wisdom of your soul and have a lot to share about what is real and how to live.
